In London over 10,000 runners took part in the 2022 London Landmarks Half Marathon, including our team of runners - Gilbey, Alice, Kunal, Nina and Daan - who took on the closed roads through Westminster and the City. Fundraising Officer Annie Whillians went along to cheer on the team and told us; “It was our first year at the London Landmarks Half Marathon and we were blown away by the event. It was incredibly popular and seems to be an event you don’t want to miss if you want to take on a challenge for charity! We can’t thank our London Landmarks team enough, they were dedicated to their fundraising from day one and each of them smashed their targets collectively raising over £2,500. They were a lovely bunch and I was so pleased to meet them all on the day - there were smiles all round! Children on the Edge will certainly be involved with this event in the future, so watch this space!” As the crisis in Ukraine unfolded, long term Children on the Edge supporter and talented chef Juliet Graham knew that she wanted to do something to help support Ukrainian refugees.
Having previously hosted some wonderful fundraising dining events to support Children on the Edge, including the DIY home cooking evening ‘Dine in for Lebanon’ during the pandemic, Juliet decided to hold a Ukrainian Feast in Chichester. We are lucky to be supported by some brilliant businesses who are working for good to help bring hope to refugees around the world.
