Whoever. Wherever. Whenever. Everyone has the right to seek safety.
Recently named by the Home Office as the ‘most generous place in the country’ for hosting Ukrainian arrivals, Chichester has a strong track record of supporting refugees both within the city, and in international crisis situations around the world.

SUPPORTING UKRAINIAN REFUGEES
The need on the ground changes day by day; our trusted partners are best positioned to identify the need and respond in the most fluid way to cover the naturally emerging gaps left by the broader sweep of international aid effort.
We are currently supporting our partners in Moldova to provide three transit centres for refugees in Tudora - on the border of Odessa, the Speranta centre in Chișinău, and a larger local hub, further inland in Vatici. All three centres are linked up, with transport provided where necessary between them as refugees travel through the country. We have also set up a dedicated, flexible emergency fund so our partners in Romania can respond to the needs of the most marginalised refugees as they emerge. |
