As we approach our 30th year working with children on the edge of their societies, we reflect on what ‘the edge’ is for the children today and review our progress in working with refugee communities.
In April the team behind the London Marathon started a new virtual fundraising event, the 2.6 Challenge. Created in response to thousands of fundraising events, including the London Marathon, being cancelled or postponed because of the coronavirus pandemic.
8 year old Zach Evans was inspired to take part in the 2.6 challenge after seeing his cousin complete his own version of the challenge, cycling 2.6 marathons in 2.6 days. Zach enjoyed following his cousin’s progress and thought it was an amazing idea so decided to challenge himself by running a marathon over 10 days and raising as much money as he could for Children on the Edge.
