Our digital education programme in Bangladesh is proving so successful that we are starting to replicate the model in India, where we support 35 learning centres, offering education to around 1000 Dalit children. Read on to find out more about this exciting development.

In Bangladesh, the Rohingya refugee children we support in Kutupalong refugee camp and children living in the slums and enclaves of Cox’s Bazar work together to create their own fun-packed videos using our digital platform - Moja Kids. Read about how this simple technology is increasing confidence amongst the children and making lessons exciting.
27-year-old Rebeka Khatun, our Monitoring and Evaluation Officer in Bangladesh, started her working life teaching English whilst completing a National University course at Birampur Women’s College. After qualifying she started working as a graphic designer but became ill and later had a stroke. During her recovery, Rebeka was reassessing her career and what she wanted to do and decided that she wanted to “do something to help people.”
Children on the Edge have set up 10 new classrooms on Bhasan Char Island in Bangladesh, offering education to 500 Rohingya refugees.
Shahida Bibi is nine years old and lives in Kutupalong refugee camp in Bangladesh with her parents and three siblings. She attends one of our Learning Centres. Read her story....
For the sixth and seventh time this year, two fires have swept through the world’s largest refugee camp in Bangladesh. Destroying 400 homes and leaving thousands without shelter. The recent fire in Kutupalong has also taken three young lives, who are as yet unidentified.
