Each year our Big October Cake Bake is a wonderful opportunity for our amazing supporters to raise money for Children on the Edge by making, eating and sharing delicious cakes and bakes. This year was no different, and we’re grateful to everyone who took part in making it such a success.
As we reflect on the news that The Body Shop at Home is closing in February, we are left with an overwhelming sense of gratitude and admiration for the consultants that have supported our work. So we wanted to send you all a message.
Major Mick sets sail on the Tintanic to support Ukrainian Refugees arriving in Moldova and Romania18/9/2023
81-year-old retired army Major Mick Stanley was so moved when he saw the crisis unfolding in Ukraine that he's decided to take to the water in his boat; 'The Tintanic', and raise money to support Ukrainian refugees. The one-man rowing boat is completely homemade, constructed from sheets of corrugated iron and decorated with flags and bunting.
Our London Landmarks runners kickstarted a month of fantastic fundraising, and were followed by our brilliant London Marathon runners, Kelly and Lizzie you can read all about their marathon challenge here. The fundraising didn’t stop there, with our friends at Montezuma’s organising some eggs-ellent Easter fundraising in their stores.

February might be the shortest month, but it didn’t deter any of our fantastic fundraisers. We kicked off the month with our brand new virtual event - The Puppy Power Walk but it wasn’t just the pups who were fundraising in February.
