We are thrilled that Children on the Edge has been welcomed into the Global Schools Forum community. This network of organisations from around the world work to improve education outcomes for children in low and middle income countries. Global Schools Forum is a growing and dynamic network of over 140 non-state organisations working to improve education outcomes for children in low- and middle-income countries. Members of the Global Schools Forum support one another by sharing learning, building capacity, and collaboratively solving key challenges. They seek to strengthen and support the non-state education sector. Children on the Edge is delighted to be joining this global learning community and is looking forward to learning from others, sharing our research and education innovations, and working together to ensure that marginalised children can access high quality education. Combined, the organisations in the network operate or support 400,000+ schools in 64 countries, providing quality education to over 37 million children. The Global Schools Forum community is bonded by a shared belief that all students deserve an outstanding education, something that we, as Children on the Edge strive to achieve across all our education programmes. In Uganda, we are working to make early years education accessible to all Congolese refugee children living in the Kyaka II refugee settlement. Our cluster learning lessons bring learning to life, through a play-based curriculum that engages whole communities to support the provision of early years education. In Bangladesh, our innovative digital lessons enable Rohingya refugee children to learn in a language they actually understand, improving learning outcomes and creating hope and joy for children confined to the large refugee camps of Kutupalong. In India, we support learning centres for Dalit children who are ostracised from mainstream education. Academic lessons, alongside a rights-based programme, enable children to realise their self-worth, grow in confidence and build pathways to a brighter future. Children on the Edge are excited to share, and build on our learning and experience, with this network of organisations committed to collaboration and positive engagement to support a more equitable education system.
