TCS London Marathon

We’re so excited to launch our very first Children on the Edge team for the London Marathon 2026 – and we’d love you to be part of it.

Whether you have your own place or you’re hoping for a charity place, this is your chance to take on the world’s greatest marathon and do something incredible.

By joining our team, you’ll be helping children who have fled war, are living in poverty, or are displaced by conflict. Every step you take and every pound you raise will help provide safe spaces where they can learn, play and thrive.

Raising £2,125 could support 17 children with education and care for a whole year – real, life-changing impact that will keep you motivated through every training run. You’ll be running to bring hope and opportunity to some of the world’s most marginalised children, and we’ll be here to support you every step of the way.

Meet Kelly

Kelly ran the London Marathon for Children on the Edge in 2023, taking on her very first marathon and raising an incredible £4,500. Inspired through her work at corporate partner Planet K2, Kelly saw it as a personal challenge and a powerful way to support children living in some of the world’s toughest conditions.

“I wanted to do something just for me,” she said, after having her daughter. “Knowing that my child will never face the hardships so many others do really motivated me.”

She completed the marathon in 5 hours and 5 minutes, describing the day as “incredible,” and the crowd support as "unforgettable". "A friend of mine told me the training is so much harder than the day and it is so true, crossing that finish line was the best thing,” she said.

Meet Lizzie

Lizzie ran her first marathon for Children on the Edge in 2023, completing it in 4 hours and 48 minutes and raising an impressive £1,200. She trained while balancing a demanding Masters degree in children’s nursing, staying committed to her goal every step of the way.

After discovering Children on the Edge through the marathon website, Lizzie was inspired by our work and chose to run in support. Her advice to others thinking about it? “DO IT! Children on the Edge is such a great cause and a really supportive, personable charity to team up with!”
