Organise an Event

Fundraise with your own event

Whether you’re fundraising on your own, or as part of a club, school, faith group or at work, organising an event can be a great way to raise donations.

Children on the Edge relies entirely on donations like yours to fund our vital work to create safe, child friendly environments, where children are able to realise their rights.

There are lots of ways you can raise money to help restore the ingredients of a full childhood to some of the worlds’ most vulnerable children. But many of our fundraisers use their own creativity to come up with fundraising ideas that work for them.

Here’s a few ideas to get you started:

  • Arrange a BBQ, coffee morning, tea party or dinner party and charge your friends to come
  • Ask for a Children on the Edge collection box to put in your local shop, school or workplace
  • Offer to do chores or small jobs for friends and family for a small donation to Children on the Edge
  • Do something special for a week, like donate the cost of your daily coffee or make a packed lunch and donate what you would spend in the shops!
  • You could walk or cycle to work and donate the money you would have spent on petrol. Encourage friends to join you and make an even bigger difference!
  • Take part in a challenge, like a half-marathon, cycle ride or long walk, either on your own or with a group. Find out more about challenge fundraising.
  • Have you got a special skill that you could use? Are you a talented chef who could cook for friends and family for a donation? Could you run a class for your friends or family and take donations? What about playing an instrument or singing for donations at work or school?
