Purchase Tom's Ginger and Rose Rocky Roads
Top chef Tom Cenci is supporting Children on the Edge and helping to reduce food wastage this Mother’s Day, by selling his delicious Ginger and Rose Rocky Roads. Each Rocky Road is made from repurposed Montezuma’s truffles.
Tom’s Rocky Roads are made from Montezuma’s Dark chocolate,Turkish delight, crystallised ginger, pistachios, hazelnuts with a hint of rose and Tom has chosen to donate 10% from the proceeds of each sale to Children on the Edge.

Tom said “I had the opportunity to work with Montezuma’s and use their repurposed imperfect chocolate truffles that can’t be reworked, instead of throwing them away I was able to use them in this recipe and help alleviate food waste.”

The brilliant Montezuma’s Chocolates have supported Children on the Edge for more than 10 years, raising over £150,000. Their new partnership with Pennies, means that customers can make their pennies count and add on a micro-donation with their spare change when they shop.
Montezuma’s are currently helping to provide early years education for refugees from the Democratic Republic of Congo in Kyaka II refugee settlement, Uganda.

Fundraising Manager Eloise Armstrong said;

“Montezuma’s and Tom’s initiative is a fantastic idea, turning imperfect chocolates into delicious treats and we are delighted that they have chosen to support Children on the Edge through the sales of the Rocky Roads. Sustainability and reduction of waste is important and something we consider across all of our programmes. In our Early Childhood centres in Uganda children learn with bright colourful resources that are handmade by their teachers from recycled local materials.”

In Kyaka II, Uganda, we are supporting 30 refugee communities to  ensure high quality, cost-effective Early Childhood Development (ECD) provision for nearly 5,000 children.

All of the ECD centres will be community-owned, safe spaces, with trained teachers from both the refugee and local communities.

This ensures children have the opportunity to learn in their own language with familiar trusted adults.
